race report: pr racing round 3 donington park
background
It’s that time again! Welcome to our Round 3 race report for the 2022 British Superbike Championship at Donington Park, in partnership with PR Racing.
This round was undoubtedly a frustrating weekend for the whole PR Racing team. Technical issues emerged for #4 Dan Linfoot finishing 20th in Race 1. #44 Dan Jones also experienced technical issues early in the weekend, followed by retirement on the green lap in Race 1.
Both riders survived a hectic Race 2, which saw Linfoot finishing 18th and Jones 19th.
Despite this, both riders kept their heads up and stayed positive to deliver one of the best results of the season thus far!
We struggled to find a feeling that could allow me to push more consistently. But we finished 2 out of 3 races, so can now review the data and work through the issues to find the right settings as we head to Knockhill.
Dan Linfoot
Saturday night looked like the worst race weekend of my career as we only managed 20 laps in 2 days. Today, I finished 19th and 16th my best results to date. Staying positive was the biggest challenge! Thank you to the iForce BMW team for all chipping in and working crazy hours. Hopefully at Knockhill we can finish in the points!

the tech
Although we couldn’t attend the race weekend this time, the trackside IT was operational and provides any remote support in case of technical/hardware issues.
All telemetry data from the weekend was collected and synchronized to PR Racing’s cloud environment. The engineers will review and work through any issues to make adjustments before the first race of Round 4 at Knockhill.

what’s next
We’re looking forward to seeing more of the Applicita equipment being in use in the next round at Knockhill (17-19 June).
